Vermillion Au Clair de Lune

The original painting is 24 x 18 Inches, oil on linen, and was shown 2014 at the group show Vermillion Cliffs at Maxwell Alexander Gallery in 2014.

"One of my only painting of just landscape. Something I always tell myself I should do more. This piece was painted early on in my career as a western artist. Clair de lune in french means Moon Light and I chose the title in french cause I got Inspired by an old painting of a french master from Barbizon. He painted the moon so bright it looked like the clouds were behind it. So I tried to recreate that effect to bring the moon close to the viewer. A magical moment in the desert of Arizona."
