The First Sun

The original painting is 40 x 33 Inches, oil on linen, and was shown at Mark's solo show at Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ in March 2023.

"We had to wake up at 3.30 am that morning in Arizona to meet the guys at the head of the trail in order to reach the top to catch the first sun. Everyone was there and the horses loaded. I was told that the mesa in the back would become so pink that I wouldn’t believe it. Well… I’d do anything to see a magic sunrise. And it happened. Just like Chris said. Thank you my friends for showing me these hidden paths that you “can’t see from the road”. Long live the Arizona cowboys."
