"This is Lyle, my friend from the Taos Pueblos who is riding in Taos. The Rio Grande blankets are more rare than Navajo blanket and their history can trace all the way back to the 1500s and into the early 1900s, mostly in New Mexico and Arizona. Interesting story here because the blanket was loaned to me by Chris Ferguson, and the painting was a trade I made with Mark Sublette, these two gentlemen being probably the most knowledgeable people I know about Native American artifacts."
