It was early morning near Jenny Lake in the Grand Teton area. I was there with my friend Chris Elise and we were gonna go photograph some cowboys up in Dubois. But in the early morning we decided that I would go paint some plein air of the Teton and he would take behind the scene photos of me. It was super early and before setting my easel I decided to take photos of the Teton at sunrise. And out of nowhere, some elk came running . The bull stopped for a second and I was able to snap a pic of him as I had a 400mm on. This was in 2021. It took me 5 years to decide to paint it. Probably because it wasn’t the time before. And it was time now. As my friend Crowfeather told me, the Elk represents the keeper of the dreams in some indigenous traditions. It roams between the two worlds, physical and visions. The way this one appeared to me was clearly outer worldly… from another realm.
This painting will be part of Mark Maggiori’s solo show “Rise Of The Western Lights”.
Opening September 18th-19th in Jackson Hole a the Center for the Arts with Jackson Hole Art Auction.

Las impresiones en papel tienen un borde blanco de 1” que incluye la firma de Mark, el número de edición y el relieve.
Las impresiones en lienzo se envían enrolladas y tienen un borde blanco de 2-3" y están firmadas y numeradas en la parte posterior. El borde debe envolverse alrededor de bastidores en su tienda de marcos local. Después de estirar el lienzo, se puede enmarcar o colgar tal cual.
Debido a la naturaleza sensible de este producto, no se permiten cambios ni devoluciones.
Limited Edition vs Timed Release
Limited Edition Prints will be available for purchase beginning June 13th at 10am PT. They are available on a first come, first served basis and may sell out quickly, as the number of prints in each edition is predetermined prior to release.
Timed Release Prints will be available for purchase for 36 hours starting on June 13th at 10am PT. You may buy as many Timed Release prints as you'd like during that window. The final edition size will be determined by the total number of prints sold during the release period.
